Corona Virus Symptoms Treatment and Disaster in the world

News of the coronavirus is everywhere, from aged people to adults, from the front page of a newspaper to the playground of a school.

Corona viruses were first discovered in the 1960s. The earliest ones discovered were an infectious Bronchitis virus in chickens and two in human patients with the common cold named human corona virus 229E and Human coronavirus OC4. Other members of this family have since been identified, including SARS-CoV in 2003 and MERS-CoV in 2012 and COVID-19 in 2019.

What is coronavirus?

The name “corona virus” comes from the crown like projections on their surfaces. Coronaviruses or COVID-19 is basically a very large family (about 400) of different kind of viruses that may cause illnesses which can range from common to a very severe disease. They are transmittable between animals and humans. Investigations have found that SARS-CoV was transmitted from cats to humans and MERS from camels to human. Several known coronaviruses are circulating only in animal that have not yet infected humans. It has high infectivity but low mortality, mortality rate is only 2-3% significantly less than SARS 2003(10%) and 2012 MERS (35%). Risk of death is higher in old age people and children’s, women who are pregnant and those people who have already health problems.Standard recommendation to stop the infection from spreading includes, to wash your hands, cover up your mouth and nosewhile you are coughing and sneezing. The number of confirmed cases in Pakistan is 38.Sindh has a total of 21, 10 cases have been confirmed in Baluchistan, 4 have been reported in Islamabad and 3 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

Globally, more than 6,069 people have died and more than 162,663 have been infected by COVID-19. And over 66,000 people have recovered.


The symptoms of COVID-19 are 

• Fever, 
• Headache, 
• Chest pain,
• Chills,
• Rapid heartbeat,
• Breathing difficulties
• And in severe conditions it causes pneumonia and kidney failure.


COVID-19 can spread in the following ways;

Sneezing and coughing without covering the mouth.

Shaking or touching hands with a person who has the virus as it can passes between individual.

Making contacts with those surfaces that has the virus and then touching the nose or mouth.

Stress during an infectious disease outbreak can include;

• Fear and anxiety about a disease can be overwhelming and cause strong emotions in adult and children’s.
• Fear and worry about your own health.
• Changes in sleep or eating patterns.

Effect on economy;

Virus impacts on Pakistan economic corridor with other countries .coronavirus (COVID-19) has become a threat to the pace of development. As the Asian development bank (ADB) stated in its report that the virus outbreak could cost the Pakistan economy in the range of $16.387 million to $4.95 billion, or o.o1% to 1.57 of gross domestic product. And another bad news for government which is committed to increase tourism exports.

Prevention and Treatment;

While there is a push to do things as fast as possible, it’s really important not to take shortcuts,” says Bruce Gallin, who run the global immunization program for the Washington DC-based nonprofit, the Sabin vaccine institute and is collaborating with Cepi over a COVID-19 vaccine. About 35 pharmaceuticals companies and some institutions are racing to create such a vaccines some are already have candidates they have been testing on animals. The first of these produced by Boston-based biotech firm Moderna-will enter human trails in April.
